How long does it take to integrate with the API? The API document is very detailed and in most cases, a reasonably qualified IT person can implement very quickly.  We have case studies where SureTax^® Telecom was integrated with a complex billing platform and running test transactions by the second day.

Do you support multiple languages? Yes. We support both Microsoft and Non-Microsoft interfaces through SOAP or HTTPS (XML/ JSON).

Do you support general sales tax for things like hardware sales or leasing? Yes. We also support software services and support, maintenance, and most other general sales and service categories.

Do I have to do anything to keep the system updated and rates current? No more database maintenance! The SaaS solution automatically updates and records any changes in the content. We keep 12 months of complete historical content so that if you need to roll back a charge or issue a credit, you would be using the correct taxation that was applicable at the time of the charge.

Does SureTax Telecom cover special segments of telecom like media, pre-paid or bundled transactions? Absolutely. SureTax^® Telecom can support all varieties of telecom service and methodology of billing.

Can you do batch files? Yes. We support the batch file process as well and the speed is incredible.

Can you accept our data in its current format? In most cases, yes.  However, depending on the complexity, there may be additional charges in the initial setup for translating your data into the correct format and then sending it back in the format that you desire.

How do I map my products and services to the right tax applicability? We have a comprehensive detailed mapping guide that goes into detail about each tax category to help you determine the correct "bucket". Included in the setup fee, we also provide a few hours of Professional Services time for consultation of the mapping.  If additional time is needed the Professional Services team is available under a statement of work.

How is SureTax^® Telecom priced?  SureTax Telecom is priced by the transaction and the rates drop substantially as volumes increase.  A transaction is a taxable event, not the number of taxes.  So if you invoice your customer for one line item as a flat fee regardless of usage, than that invoice is one transaction regardless of the number of taxes that are applicable to the transaction.

We are just entering this vertical, so can the cost start small? Yes. SureTax^® Telecom is priced by the transaction in fractions of a penny, so you only pay for what you use and the rates drop as your transaction volume grows.
